Ross Hogan MD Urologist

Ross M. Hogan, MD

Board certified urologist with over a decade of experience providing comprehensive and compassionate urologic care. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2008 and completed his residency in urology at Ochsner/LSU in 2013.

Dr. Hogan specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and urinary incontinence. Certified by the American Board of Urology, he is dedicated to improving his patients’ quality of life through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

With a commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care, Dr. Hogan strives to ensure that every patient feels heard, respected and confident in their treatment.

Dr Ronald Rabin MD Urologist

Ronald Rabin, MD

Dr. Rabin is a highly respected urologist with more than 55 years of experience in the medical field. Known for his commitment to patient care and clinical excellence, Dr. Rabin has devoted his career to providing expert diagnosis and treatment for a full spectrum of urologic conditions.

A native of Louisiana, Dr. Rabin began his undergraduate studies at Tulane University before transferring to Louisiana State University, where he earned his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1968. He completed his surgical internship at University Hospital of Cleveland from 1968 to 1969, followed by a general surgery residency from 1969 to 1970. Dr. Rabin continued his postgraduate training with a urology residency at University Hospital of Cleveland from 1970 to 1971, and again from 1973 to 1976.

From 1971 to 1972, Dr. Rabin proudly served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, stationed at the 67th and 25th Evacuation Hospitals in Qui Nhon, Vietnam, and later at the 3rd Field Hospital in Saigon. His service during a time of great need strengthened his resolve to bring compassionate, skilled care to every patient he treats.

In 1978, Dr. Rabin became board certified by the American Board of Urology, affirming his dedication to the highest standards in his specialty. Throughout his career, he has remained actively engaged in professional organizations, including the American Urological Association (AUA), the North Central and Southeastern Sections of the AUA, the Louisiana State Medical Society, and the Jefferson Parish Medical Society.

Ross Hogan MD Urologist

Eric “Ricky” Wendel, MD

Board Certified urologic surgeon practicing in Covington, Louisiana, where he has served patients since 2022. Originally born in New Orleans but raised in Mandeville, Louisiana, Dr. Wendel earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. He received his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Wendel completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

He specializes in comprehensive urological care, with expertise in robotic surgery, genitourinary malignancies, treatment of BPH/enlarged prostate including Aquablation and Rezum, kidney stone management, and erectile dysfunction. He is an active member of the American Urological Association.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Wendel enjoys spending time with his family and friends, grilling, golfing, and traveling.

Michael R. Pinsky, MD

Michael Pinsky, MD

Joins the practice after 9 years on the Northshore in Slidell, and over 15 years total of urology experience. Dr. Pinsky graduated cum laude from Tulane University and went on to earn his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his urology residency at Tulane with a focus on endourology, minimally invasive urology, and robotic surgery. He is board certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, and a member of the American Urologic Association.

Dr. Pinsky believes in a holistic approach to patient care, making sure that his patients always feel comfortable, respected, and that their input is valued. He believes it is important to treat the urologic condition in the context of any other medical problems and lifestyle considerations. He prides himself on open communication and taking the time necessary for his patients to fully understand their diagnoses and treatment options.

Dr. Pinsky’s special interests include robotic surgery for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and ureteral strictures (including UPJ obstruction), as well as minimally invasive management strategies for BPH and kidney stones. He has also been designated as a Center of Excellence in the Urolift procedure for enlarged prostate/BPH since 2019.

Dr. Pinsky also has a wide general urologic interest that includes management of enlarged prostates, elevated PSA levels, kidney stones, blood in the urine, trouble urinating, urologic malignancies, vasectomies, and men’s health concerns and erectile dysfunction.

Michael R. Pinsky, MD

Sara Gaspard, DNP, FNP-C

Sara is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Urology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center in 2013 and began her career at Ochsner Medical Center, where she worked for three years in the Cardiac Medical ICU. She then continued her clinical experience as an outpatient infusion nurse for three years while pursuing her advanced degree.

In 2019, Sara graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and became board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Since then, she has been practicing as an NP, providing comprehensive care with a focus on patient education and support.

Sara joined Lakeshore Urology in April 2022, where she specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of urologic conditions. She is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and values building lasting relationships with her patients.
